Coronavirus Chronicles – Day 45

It has been a long day. I spent most of the day having meetings on Google Hangouts, Zoom, or phone. When I took a break, I had to help my boys with their homework. I know there have been people saying that educators can’t possibly be working harder than they were when they were in school buildings. It is easy to say that online from behind your computer screen or your cell phone. Come on over and see what my day is really like before you judge. (Don’t come over because I’m not going to let you in…I’m social distancing).

To make matters worse, my eczema is on ten. Back in December, I got an eczema diagnosis. Yes, at 36! My sister and uncle have eczema, but no doctor ever thought I had it until now. I have had horrible flares up during this quarantine. They are bad enough that my sons are concerned. I have medication, but the itching has been almost unbearable at times.

I’m behind on laundry. I was on top of it for two weeks straight. That was a record y’all. This week, it all fell to pieces. One of my sons doesn’t have any socks. Guess what? He’s a twin, so problem solved. Of course, he didn’t like borrowing socks from his brother. Look, kid, it’s hard times right now. I’m going to need you to make due.

I just want some chocolate, my eczema cream, and my bed. Tune back in tomorrow! Stay safe, and wash your hands correctly. Tschüss!
