EdPost

EdPost is “the flagship platform of brightbeam, socially-driven education nonprofit demanding a better education and a brighter future for every child.”

In 2017, my writing shifted to education advocacy when I earned an opportunity to write for EdPost. Under the EdPost umbrella, there used to be several other publications. Additionally, in addition to writing for EdPost, I wrote articles for some of the publications under that umbrella, as well as becoming an editor, where I had the opportunity to connect with education advocates across America. I helped them advocate for education solutions where they lived. Eventually, I became Editor-in-Chief of Indy K12, which was one of the publications under that umbrella.

During my last few years with EdPost, I began writing a column called Hey Shawnta! Through that column I answered education questions for educators, parents, community members, students, or anyone who wanted to get a better grasp of the education landscape. Click here to read my answers to the questions I received.

Listed below are my articles published on EdPost, the flagship publication.
