National Reading Month: Educator Barnes Reads – Mufaro’s Beautiful Daughters

Mufaro’s Beautiful Daughters – An African Tale by John Steptoe is a story of ‘what goes around comes around’ set in Africa.  Mufaro is the father of two beautiful daughters  Manyara (mahn-YAR-ah) and Nyasha (nee-AH-sha).  Unbeknownst to the father, one of his daughters is not as beautiful on the inside and is not kind to her sister.  As any story with karma goes, the mean sister learns the hard way she should have treated others differently.
