National Reading Month: Educator Barnes Reads – Harlem

Harlem was written by Walter Dean Myers and illustrated by his son Christopher Myers.  Winner of the Coretta Scott King Award and a Caldecott Honor Book, this book brings Harlem to life through poetry.

Scholastic provides a guide with background information about the various references and locations included in the book.
