National Reading Month: JB Reads – Please, Baby, Please

In the video below, JB is reading Please, Baby, Please by filmmaker Spike Lee and his wife Tonya Lewis Lee.  For my twin sons’ first birthday, we requested guests bring no toys and only books featuring African Americans.  This is one of the books my sons received.  Once my sons got older, one of them pointed out the clock that was on each page showing the progression of the day and he said, “That Mommy had a looooong day.”

All parents can relate to the Mom pleading throughout the book to get her child to comply with requests.  My favorite part is the ending when the child makes a request.

I hope you will enjoy this sweet story too!
