National Poetry Month: Educator Barnes Reads – Not Because We Are Black

“Not Black We Are Black” is a poem I wrote that was included in a blog post, “We are Black Educators So Why Do You Only See Us as Disciplinarians?” I co-authored with David McGuire last year.
