When I Am Old with You by Angela Johnson is a Coretta Scott King Honor Book. I became sentimental the first time I read this book. This book follows a little black boy who is thinking about all the activities he is going to do with his grandfather when he gets older just like him. When I was a child, I used to dream of all the places I wanted go with my grandmother when I entered adulthood and when she passed away when I was 14, I realized those dreams would never become reality. Even though this book made me sad, I loved it because it shows the importance of the grandparent and grandchild relationship.
